Common questions
How do I play?
Click the game screen or press Space to flap. Esc or P pauses. Switching to another tab or window pauses the game too.
On a phone or tablet, tap to flap.
What do the buttons under the game do?
The speaker turns all sound on or off. The phone and tablet buttons switch between a tall phone view and a wide tablet view that shows more of what’s ahead. The last button plays full screen. Press Esc to leave full screen.
Can I play on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Open dopedumbgames.com/merica-bird in your browser and tap PLAY. The game fills the screen. On a phone, hold it upright. To get back to the page, tap the close button in the corner or go back.
Is my progress saved?
Yes, in this browser on this device. There are no accounts, so it isn’t shared between browsers or devices. A private or incognito window forgets it when you close the window.
How do I start over?
In the game, open Settings and reset your progress. Clearing this site’s data in your browser’s settings erases it too.
Why is there no sound?
Sound starts when you press PLAY. Check the speaker button under the game, the sound and music switches in the game’s Settings, and your device volume. On iPhone and iPad, Silent mode mutes the game too.
Does it cost anything?
No. It’s free to play, with no ads and nothing to buy.
